Thanksgiving at the Beach 2012 East Meets West 6:45 A.M. dark and nearly cold, the cloud cover holds the oceans heat. Five mornings a week we go down at the crack of dawn to do Tia Chi on the beach. As the sun comes up our bodies rejuvenate with the morning salt air, the bouncing waves on rocks sound the morning call, pelicans flying in formation help us stay on point. Dolphins roll through with fluid grace reminding us of form while moving the chi though our bodies. Each day is glorious! I digress, Thanksgiving 2012, 6:45 a.m., when we arrive there are two wonderful fires blazing in the cement pits on the dune above where we practice.
